ABOUT MY WORK

From bread boards to sideboards, every commission piece is manufactured to the highest possible standards, using personally selected timbers to give balance, symmetry and beauty to each design.

All joints used in construction are traditional, tried and tested methods, such as hand cut dovetails and mortise and tenons. The right joint is chosen for each individual commission to give it the correct stability and best appearance, and all are made to be as neat and tight a fit as possible.

Customers are given a choice of finishes, ranging from oils, waxes and shellacs, to modern polyurethane and melamine lacquers. Advice can be given on which of these finishes is best suited to the customer's needs.

In addition, only the highest quality fittings are used to complete the product, which ensures the furniture will last for more than a lifetime and become an antique of the future.
